Cuarteto Casals to Perform in Jerusalem for the First Time

“Sounding Jerusalem“ is a classical Chamber Music festival taking place in Jerusalem’s Old City and its surroundings, a place of encounters for people from different religious, ethnic and social backgrounds.With more than 30 performances every year, mostly in June/July, it has become a cultural forum where Israelis, Palestinians and Europeans meet. Concerts take place in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Tel Aviv, Nablus, Jericho, Abu Gosh, and many other venues. Moreover the festival strives to facilitate accessibility to culture and art for young people from disfavoured backgrounds introducing them to an international exchange. Workshops and seminars are organized in collaboration with local institutions promoting intercultural activities and social development.
